Toke Fiedler Terkildsen Best Sommelier of the Nordics 2026

Denmark’s Toke Fiedler Terkildsen has earned the title of Best Sommelier of the Nordics 2026, leading a podium that also celebrated sommelier talent from Finland and Iceland. Dmitry Frolov, representing Finland, finished second, while Iceland’s Manuel Schembri claimed third place.

The jury was led by Heidi Mäkinen MW, with representatives from sommelier associations across the Nordic countries. Alba Hough, President of the Icelandic Sommelier Association, served as host and master of ceremonies.

The judging panel included Janni Berndt Dahl of Sweden; Christina Suominen and Elina Turusen of Finland; Henrik Dahl Jahnsen and Francesco Marzola of Norway; and Christian Aarø and Tim Vollerslev of Denmark.

Along with the title, Terkildsen received invitations from prestigious wineries in France for educational trips, offering further opportunities to deepen his knowledge through time with the producers.

The result places Denmark at the top of this year’s Nordic competition, with Finland and Iceland joining it in celebrating their finalists’ achievements.
