World’s Biggest Sake Fair this June in Japan

Did you know the largest sake event in Japan – and the world – takes place every year?

Welcome to Sake Fair 2026 (Nihonshu Fair 2026), a celebration of Japan’s national beverage and the people who craft it.

Taking place on 19–20 June 2026, this extraordinary event gathers sake producers from all 47 prefectures of Japan. From the snowy north to the subtropical south, every region brings its own style, terroir, brewing traditions, and ingredients.

Here’s the best part.

Visitors can taste every product presented by the participating breweries. Yes, really. Hundreds of sake in one place, offering a rare chance to experience the remarkable diversity of Japanese sake – from elegant and aromatic styles to rich, umami-driven expressions.

And that’s not all!

As part of the Sake Fair, visitors can also attend the Public Tasting Event, where around 400 award-winning sakes from the Annual Japan Sake Awards (Japan’s National Sake Competition) will be available to taste. It’s an exceptional opportunity to explore some of the finest sake produced in Japan in a single venue — the only occasion when these award-winning sake are made available to the public for tasting.

Think of it as a journey across Japan… one tasting glass at a time.

Further details, including ticket sales, will be announced soon.
